Student Email Support

Chepstow Schools Student Email Service is a fully internet based service that can be accessed from anywhere you have Internet access via the Outlook Web App which is accessible at: 

We recommend using this Outlook Web App to access your student email account however access is also available from mobile devices and through an email client which can use IMAP or Exchange to connect to the service. Detail can be found below.

Configuring email on your device

To set up your account on your device use the step-by-step help sheets below. If the device that you would like to connect your account to is not covered in the help sheets please contact IT Support who will aim to provide further technical support if needed.

Mailbox Quotas

All students have a standard mailbox storage quota of 50GB. On approaching this size limit you will receive email notifications to free up space as follows:

Users should start to delete
unwanted emails


Prohibit Send

Users cannot send email until they
delete sufficient emails to below 49.50GB


Prohibit Send / Receive

Incoming mail is rejected and
a non-delivery note is returned to senders

Deleted Item Recovery

A restore utility is available to retrieve deleted messages or mail folders from the Deleted Items folder for up to 30 days. If this utility is required please contact IT Support, please be sure to include as much detail as possible.

Note: After 30 days the contents of the Recover Deleted Items folder is permanently deleted and cannot be retrieved by IT Support.


Junk Mail

This new services scans and removes all email categorised as spam before it reaches any or address. The spam filters are constantly updated, however, it is almost impossible to detect 100% of spam. If you receive any email that you are concerned about, please contact a member of staff.


Virus Protection

All incoming and outgoing emails either internally or externally are scanned for viruses.
