For Years 7 and 8, we are introducing a new piece of software to assist pupils with their reading. Miss Martinez has created a how-to guide to help our pupils navigate the MyOn website, please find this below.

Summer Reading Challenge

Year 9

Please find attached the information regarding the Year 9 Literacy Summer Bingo. Its aim is to engage our Year 9 learners in some reading and literacy activities over the summer, whilst offering some reading recommendations. There are prizes up for grabs for engagement – simply tweet @EnglishChepstow with your child completing an activity for an entry into the competition. There are also bonus entries up for grabs by tweeting a photo of your child engaging in an ‘extreme reading’ activity – safety first, of course! I would love to see as many entries from our Year 9 learners as possible. If you’re not able to share the entries via Twitter, simply email emmamartinez@chepstowschool.net and the entries can be counted here as well.

Should your child want further reading recommendations, the website www.goodreads.com offers an array of book choices.
