Wellbeing Resources

The response to COVID-19 has dramatically changed our lives.

Both adults and children face very real and pressing challenges to their health and wellbeing. The risk of infection, the prospect of bereavement and restrictions on leaving home place strains on our physical and mental health and our relationships. Children, in particular, may struggle with lack of routine, disruption to their learning and isolation from friends.

At Chepstow School, we believe the most important thing in this time of unprecedented change and disruption is the safety and wellbeing of our children and our workforce. We are doing all we can to support the physical and mental wellbeing of our children and young people throughout this period.

Cerebra – Sleep advice service

Many families have children/young people who have difficulties with sleep. The charity Cerebra have a range of support tools to try to help with this including sleep practitioners that offer one-one support to discuss specific issues.

Families eligible for Free School Meals

 

Monmouthshire County Council Free School Meals

From the 6th April we are changing the way we provide free school meals, from this date we will credit the Parent / Carers bank account with the equivalent amount for the cost of your child’s free school meal.  This will be paid on a weekly basis in advance.

Monmouthshire County Council Food Parcels

Families can make a request, the operator completes the form and emails to an agent who will contact both the family and the food bank. Agent will collect the parcel and deliver to the family direct.
